In TASKE real-time applications, devices that are engaged in calls display as Idle immediately following an Information Server restart.
The TASKE Collector is a server component that queries the telephone system for device status information. Directly tied to the Information Server, the Collector automatically starts and stops with the Information Server. As a result, stopping the Information Server also stops the Collector and all queries to the telephone system. Therefore, it is not recommended you restart any component of TASKE during regular business hours.
When the Collector starts, it does not query the telephone system for calls that are in progress. Therefore, devices that are engaged in calls when the Collector starts default to an Idle state because the Collector is not aware that these calls exist. When a device disengages from a call, the telephone system notifies the Collector of the new state of the device.
