Clear Browser Cache After Updating to 2016.4

Web browsers cache pages to improve the browsing speed. However, a number of problems can result from cached data stored on your computer when using TASKE Web Portal. To resolve these issues, you may need to manually clear your computer’s cache of TASKE Web Portal pages after upgrading from version 8.9 to 2016.4.


Here are some ways you can try to fix issues related to cached data:

  • Press the Shift key while pressing the Refresh button in the browser.
  • Close your browser, re-open it, and delete your temporary Internet files before browsing to TASKE Web Portal. See below for instructions for each browser.
  • Restart your computer.
  • Set your browser to automatically update cached pages. For example, in Internet Explorer:
    1. Go to Tools, Internet Options, General.
    2. Under Browsing History, click Settings.
    3. Under Check for newer versions of stored pages, select Every time I visit the webpage.
  • Use a different browser.

How to clear the cache for commonly used browsers

Internet Explorer
  1. Open the Delete Browsing History dialog box, as follows:
    • Click the Gear icon on the top right corner of the browser and choose Internet options. In Browsing History, click Delete.
    • From the Windows computer’s Control Panel, choose Internet Options. In Browsing History, click Delete.
    • Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete.
  2. Select Temporary Internet files.
  3. Select Cookies and website data.
  4. Click Delete.
  1. Click the menu in the top right corner and choose History.
  2. Click Clear Recent History.
  3. Expand the Details area, if necessary.
  4. Select Cookies.
  5. Select Cache.
  6. In the Time range to clear list, select Everything.
  7. Click Clear Now.
  1. From the Edit menu, choose Empty Cache.
  2. Click Empty.
  1. Click the More menu in the top right corner and choose Settings.
  2. From the menu on the left, click History.
  3. Click Clear browsing data.
  4. Select Cookies and other site and plugin data.
  5. Select Cached images and files.
  6. Click Clear browsing data.
