Important: note the following before selecting a TASKE server computer and installing the TASKE Reporter or TASKE Essential server applications:

  • the requirements in this article operate on the assumption that the TASKE server computer is dedicated to TASKE server applications.

  • TASKE does not support systems where the server computer is also an Active Directory Server, a Primary Domain Controller (PDC), a Backup Domain Controller (BDC), or an Exchange Server.

  • sites with more than 50 agents (TASKE Reporter only) and high call volume should increase the server computer processing speed.

  • TASKE does not currently recommend using computers with multiple processors as TASKE server computers.

  • although a desktop computer is acceptable for the TASKE server computer, TASKE recommends using an entry-level server computer. Regardless of the type of computer used, a Microsoft® server-level operating system is recommended.

  • Microsoft Windows 2000 is the required Avaya CentreVu® Computer Telephony Server operating system.

  • The MERLIN MAGIX telephone system requires an MLX card to connect with the Eicon Diva ISDN card in the TASKE server computer.

  • If using a rack-mount Avaya CentreVu Computer Telephony Server, order a low-profile Eicon Diva 2.02 card from TASKE.
