Important: before selecting a TASKE Announcer server computer and installing the TASKE Announcer server applications, note the following:

  • the requirements in this article assume that the TASKE server computer is dedicated to TASKE server applications.

  • TASKE does not currently recommend using computers with multiple processors as TASKE server computers.

  • although a desktop computer is acceptable for the TASKE server computer, TASKE recommends using an entry-level server computer. Regardless of the type of computer used, a Microsoft® server-level operating system is recommended.

  • the Announcer Server application may reside on the TASKE Contact server computer or any computer with a network connection to the TASKE Contact server computer

  • with the exception of operating system requirements, if the Announcer Server application resides on the TASKE Contact server computer, the system requirements for the TASKE Contact server applications override those of the Announcer Server application

  • the Announcer Server and Administrator may reside on the same computer or separate computers. If residing on separate computers, the computers must maintain a network connection with each other

  • the drivers for Dialogic voice cards do not support Microsoft Windows Server 2003.
