Adding DNIS Numbers to TASKE Administrator

If DNIS (Dialed Number Identification Service) numbers have not already been added to the DNIS page of TASKE Administrator, these numbers should be added prior to exporting TASKE call data to COREDIRECT.

When adding DNIS numbers to Administrator, use the DNIS number the telephone service provider supplies (typically the last four-digits of the telephone number) for the DNIS ID and the full 10-digit telephone number (without the hyphens) for the DNIS name. The value used for the DNIS name is exported to COREDIRECT and is used as the DNIS ID by COREDIRECT.

For full instructions on adding DNIS numbers to Administrator, refer to the TASKE Administrator online help.

Adding the Integration Utilities to TASKE Console

Entries to the Microsoft® Windows registry adds two integration utilities to the Tools menu of TASKE Console. These utilities are the COREDIRECT Integration Wizard and COREDIRECT Exporter.

The TASKE FTP site provides a registry file (kb10142.reg) that contains the necessary registry information. Running this file will add all necessary entries to the registry. Use the link below to run kb10142.reg from the FTP site. After running the file, restart the TASKE server computer to add the new menu items to TASKE Console.

Performing the Integration

From the TASKE server computer, open TASKE Console and select COREDIRECT Integration Wizard from the Tools menu to launch the TASKE / COREDIRECT Integration Wizard. Use the instructions provided in the wizard to complete the integration. Restart the TASKE Integration Server when the integration is complete.

Key points for completing the integration are provided below.

Data Export Configuration

Use the Data Export Configuration pages to select the type of data to export and the location of the exported data files. TASKE call data is exported to .txt files.

Export data files to this folder - the default location for saving the .txt files is c:\. To export the files to another location, browse to an existing directory or create the desired directory and browse to that location in the wizard.

File names - the TASKE call data files are named in the format TCD-YYYY-MM-DD.txt, where YYYY represents the year, MM represents the month, and DD represents the day.

Schedule Configuration

Use the Schedule Configuration page to configure the time for the daily export. This is when the TASKE call data from the previous day will be exported to a .txt file.

Delete files with a creation date older than - enable the this check box and input the desired number of days to automatically remove the old .txt files from the computer.

Configuration Completed

When the configuration is complete, return to TASKE Console and restart the TASKE Integration Server to apply the changes.

Changing the TASKE Integration Server Startup Type to Automatic

The TASKE Integration Server must be running for the data generation and exchange to occur between TASKE Contact and COREDIRECT. By default, the Integration Server is set to a manual startup type. This must be changed to automatic to ensure the data transfers occur on schedule.

To change the startup type of the Integration Server, open Console and select TASKE Integration Server from the list of components. Select Properties from the Action menu to open the TASKE Integration Server Properties window. Select Automatic from the Startup type list.

Using COREDIRECT Exporter to Export Call Data

COREDIRECT Exporter is the second utility added to the Tools menu of TASKE Console. Running this utility from the TASKE server computer allows you to manually export TASKE Contact call data for periods when the TASKE Integration Server was offline.

To launch COREDIRECT Exporter, open TASKE Console and select COREDIRECT Exporter from the Tools menu. Use the calendar tool to select a date, or range of dates and click Request Data to export the selected call data to COREDIRECT. The bottom section of the window displays the status of the request. If the utility is unable to generate the data, ensure all required TASKE Contact server components are started.
