Article 10072: Administrator Displays Maintenance Renewal Reminder for Current Subscriptions
| Products: | TASKE Contact version 8.5 |
| TASKE
Essential version 1.0 |
|
| Applications: | Administrator |
| Telephone systems: | All |
Issue
After a server installation or upgrade, the Administrator application displays a message to renew the product Maintenance subscription for TASKE Contact even though the expiry date for the subscription shows that it is still valid.
Reason
After a server installation or upgrade, this message displays in Administrator until TASKE Console launches for the first time. When TASKE Console launches, it initializes TASKE Contact licensing and validates the Maintenance subscription. Until this is done, the Administrator cannot determine the validity of the Maintenance subscription and displays the renewal reminder.
Solution
Launching TASKE Console for the first time stops the Maintenance subscription renewal message from displaying in TASKE Administrator. Use the following steps to launch TASKE Console on the TASKE server computer.
-
Click Start from the Microsoft® Windows task bar and select the Programs menu.
- Select TASKE Console from the TASKE Contact Version 8.5 program group to launch Console.
Note: Console is placed in the startup folder for the server computer during installation. This allows the application to start automatically with the computer. Therefore, rebooting the computer is another method to launch Console.
