Summary

Using Agent Desktop with Microsoft® Operating Systems in the undocked or docked mode will cause the application to minimize back to the system tray when clicking the Show Desktop icon.

Issue

Using the Show Desktop button from the Windows Quick Launch toolbar will cause Agent Desktop to disappear or reappear, depending on which state that the Agent Desktop is in (hidden or visible).

Reason

The Agent Desktop is a Tool window. As such it has certain behaviors that are unique to these types of windows, one of them is the behavior of the application disappearing. This behavior is identical to the Microsoft Office tool bar. Clicking on the Agent Desktop icon in the Windows system tray will cause the Agent Desktop to be displayed.
