Issue

Changing the IP Address of the computer that hosts the TASKE Contact server applications will result in the TASKE software to cease functioning.

Reason

This is because the client applications need to know the IP address of the TASKE server computer in order to successfully connect with it.

Solution

After the IP address of the TASKE server computer changes, the change must be reflected in both the TASKE server components and the TASKE client applications.

To update the TASKE Contact server components, go to the TASKE server computer and open TASKE Administrator. Select Configuration Mode, click the Utilities button, and click the Configure button in the Server IP Address section to launch the TASKE IP Address Configuration Wizard. Follow the directions in the wizard to complete the IP address change.

To update client installations prior to version 8.5.2168.0, you must uninstall and re-install the applications. As of TASKE Contact version 8.5.2168.0, the TASKE Client Configuration utility allows users to reset the TASKE server computer IP address without re-installing the software.
