Update: Please note TASKE Contact version 8.5 does not require a static IP Address.
Summary
TASKE requires that all servers be assigned a static IP address. Windows 2000 does not load TCP/IP unless the NIC is plugged into a powered hub.
To ensure that TCP/IP is indeed loaded, click the Windows Start
menu. Click the Run menu item. In the field type cmd.
A Command Prompt window will open. In this window, type ipconfig.
If there is no connection you will receive the following message:
Windows 2000 IP Configuration
Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Media State . . . . . . . . . . . . : Cable Disconnected
If everything is connected correctly, you will receive the following message:
