Summary

Before installing TASKE Contact, ensure that the computer that will host the TASKE server applications has been assigned a static IP Address. A static IP address means that the IP address of the computer will not change in the future.

The computer information, IP address and computer name, are stored in the Windows registry of both the server computer and client computers. This information must be correct in order for clients to successfully connect to the server. If this information is changed after installation, you can update the server computer by using the IP Configuration Utility described below.

Client installations will also need updating. Simply uninstall and re-install the client applications using the Windows Add/Remove Programs Control Panel.

IP Configuration Utility

Open TASKE Administrator. Select Configuration Mode. Click the Utilities button. Click the Configure button in the Server IP Address section and follow the directions in the wizard.
