Summary

Issue
After following the steps listed in Article 10124: TASKE Web Client Applications Display a Services are Not Running Error when IIS is Installed after Applying Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP1 the TASKE web application is still providing a Services are not running error. The error reads as follows:
<TASKE web application name> Services Are Not Running
The <TASKE web application name> Services are not running or cannot be located. Please consult with your system administrator and then use the link below.

Reason
Someone may have deleted or renamed the default IIS accounts named IUSR_<machine name> and IWAM_<machine name> (where <machine name> is the local computer name) which are required in order for the TASKE web applications to function correctly.
Solution
You can force IIS to rebuild the original IUSR_<machine name> and IWAM_<machine name> accounts by following these steps:
- From the Computer Management Console tree, open the Users folder.
- Right click on all of the listed IUSR_ and IWAM_ accounts and choose delete.
- Click on the Start button, choose Run... , type IISRESET and click OK.
- When IIS has successfully restarted, select Refresh from the Action menu of the Computer Management Console window to verify that IUSR_<machine name> and IWAM_<machine name> accounts have successfully been rebuilt.
If you have renamed the computer since IIS was initially installed, you may notice that these accounts are named IUSR_<old machine name> and IWAM_<old machine name>. Do not rename these accounts to reflect the current computer name as it will result in the TASKE web application displaying a Services are not running error once again.
It is now recommended that you follow the steps listed in Article 10124: TASKE Web Client Applications Display a Services are Not Running Error when IIS is Installed after Applying Windows XP SP2 or Windows Server 2003 SP1.
